Our Story

One stove,
a short list, no rush.

It started the way these things usually do, with someone in the next room calling out for more chilli, please. We listened.

No restaurant, no fleet of vans, one kitchen, one stove, and a lot of attention. We cook only when you ask: never ahead, never at scale, never on a shortcut.

Good food takes the time it takes. This is not fast food, it's forever food, set down at a particular crossing of roads: South Indian coast, North Indian tandoor, an Auckland pantry.

How ordering, pickup and payment work at our small Auckland kitchen.

How do I order from Chilli Junction?

Browse this week's menu, add the dishes you want, then choose a pickup time at least 48 hours ahead and send your order. We reply within two hours to confirm and share our bank details so you can pay.

How far in advance do I need to order?

At least 48 hours. Everything is cooked fresh to order in small batches, never made ahead or at scale, so we need the lead time to shop and cook it properly.

Do you deliver, or is it pickup only?

Pickup only, here in Auckland. Once your order is confirmed we send the collection details and your pickup time by email or text.

How do I pay?

Payment is arranged after we confirm your order — there's no charge on the website. We'll send you a New Zealand bank transfer (BNZ) option or a secure POLi or Square payment link.

What kind of food do you cook?

Indian home cooking on one short, changing menu — South Indian coastal dishes alongside North Indian tandoor, all cooked slow. The menu is small on purpose so every dish gets full attention.

Can you cater an event or private long table?

Yes. Now and then we set one long table and cook a single menu for the room, and we take private bookings. Check the Events section or email [email protected] to talk dates.
